Fried Squaw Bread

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted
  All purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Melted butter 1 Tablespoon
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Fat 1 Tablespoon (For Deep Frying)
  Confectioners sugar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Sift dry ingredients; add butter and water.
Mix thoroughly.
Drop by tablespoon into hot fat (375°F on a frying thermometer).
Cook for 2 to 4 minutes, or until brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
