|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Quick-cooking oats||1 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Melted shortening||2 Tablespoon|
|Sour milk/Buttermilk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and sugar.
Crush oats with rolling pin; stir oats and raisins into dry ingredients; mix well.
Combine molasses, shortening, and buttermilk; add to flour mixture and stir just to moisten dry ingredients.
Pour into greased 9- x 5- x 3-inch loafpan.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
