Beer And Bread Soup

Ingredients
  Dark rye bread loaf 1 Small
  Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Dark beer/Ale 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whole lemon 1 , juiced and rind grated
  Light cream/Whipped cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (For Garnish)
Directions

Break the bread in small pieces into a mixing bowl.
Mix the water and beer and pour this over the bread.
Allow it to stand for several hours.
When ready to serve, cook the mixture over a low flame, stirring occasionally, just long enough for it to thicken.
Bring it to a boil and add the sugar, lemon juice, and lemon rind.
