Strawberry Banana Bread
|Grated lemon peel||1 Teaspoon|
|Sifted all purpose flour||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Crisco shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Mashed bananas||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Pureed strawberries||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts/Rolled oats||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Have all ingredients at room temperature.
When using real lemon rind, combine the lemon rind with the Crisco and sugar mixture rather than the dry ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift flour with salt, baking powder and lemon peel; set aside.
Cream shortening with sugar.
Add the beaten eggs and blend until smooth.
Add strawberry puree'and mashed bananas.
