Cinnamon Orange Poppy Seed Bread
|Stone ground whole wheat flour||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Sesame seeds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Raw)|
|Dry non fat milk||2 Tablespoon (Non Instant)|
|Poppy seeds||2 Tablespoon|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Eggs||2 , lightly beaten|
|Honey||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fresh orange juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Unsalted butter||2 Tablespoon, melted and cooled|
|Almond oil/Other cold pressed vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine the flour, sesame seeds, dry milk, poppy seeds, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Stir until well blended, Mix the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and stir into the dry mixture.
Mix just until blended.
Spoon the batter into an 8-inch nonstick loaf pan (or one that has been lightly buttered and dusted with whole-wheat flour) and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Set the pan on a wire rack and let stand for 15 minutes.
Turn the loaf out onto the rack and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
