Nutmeg Bread

Ingredients
  Vegetable oil spray 1 Tablespoon
  Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Acceptable)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Freshly grated nutmeg/1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 Tablespoon
  Low fat buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F.
Lightly spray a 9-x-5-inch loaf pan with vegetable oil.
In a mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar with mixer.
Add egg and mix well.
In a separate bowl, sift dry ingredients together twice.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to egg mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake 45 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes and remove bread from pan to cooling rack.
