Black Forest Bread
|All purpose flour||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Unsweetened cocoa||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Dried cherries/Dried sweetened cranberries||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot water||1 Tablespoon|
|Instant coffee granules||2 Teaspoon|
|Low fat buttermilk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Honey||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine first 4 ingredients in a bowl; stir well.
stir in cherries; make a well in center of mixture.
Combine hot water and coffee granules in a bowl; stir well.
Add buttermilk and next 5 ingredients, Stirring well with a whisk.
Add to flour mixture, Stirring just until moist.
Spoon batter into an 8- x 4-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Let cool in pan 10 minutes on a wire rack; remove from pan.
Let cool on wire rack.
