Shaker Squash

Ingredients
  Hubbard squash 3 Pound, cut in large pieces
  Maple syrup/Maple-flavored syrup 2 Tablespoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Snipped parsley/Sliced green onion with tops 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Place squash pieces in large baking pan.
Bake, covered, at 350° till tender, about 1 1/4 hours.
Remove pulp; press through sieve.
Place pulp in saucepan; stir in syrup, butter, salt, and pepper.
Heat through.
Top with snipped parsley or sliced onion
