|Risen plain white dough||1⁄2 (Just Under 1/2 Quantity)|
|Soft margarine/Butter||2 Tablespoon|
|Currants||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Work the sugar, fat and currants into the dough by squeezing and kneading the dough by hand until all the ingredients are evenly mixed through the dough.
Shape to fit a well greased small 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch loaf pan.
Cover and let rise.
Bake in the center of a moderately hot oven (400°F) for about 35 minutes.
Remove from the tin and brush the top of the hot loaf with a wet brush dipped in honey or with a sugar glaze.
Leave to cool.
