Spicy Wheat Bread
|Grated orange peel||30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)|
|Whole wheat flour||625 Milliliter (2 1/2 Cups)|
|Baking powder||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon (2 Milliliter)|
|Milk||125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Ground allspice||1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon (2 Milliliter)|
|Buttermilk||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Vegetable oil||150 Milliliter (2/3 Cup)|
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Assemble Citrus Juicer.
Juice orange (about 1/2 cup or 125 ml) into glass measure.
Grate peel of orange (about 2 tablespoons or 30 ml) into large mixer bowl.
Add orange juice and remaining ingredients to bowl and mix at LOW until dry ingredients are moistened then at MEDIUM until well mixed.
Pour into a greased 9 1/2x5 1/4x2 3/4-inch (23x13x 8 cm) loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool thoroughly before removing from pan.
