Original Whole Wheat Bread
|Yeast cake||1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Warm water||2 Tablespoon|
|Sugar||1 Teaspoon (Scant Teaspoon)|
|Whole wheat flour||1 1⁄8 Cup (18 tbs)|
|White flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Lard||1 Tablespoon, melted|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Mix whole wheat and white flour, salt and lard.
Stir in water, yeast and molasses.
Let rise 1 1/2 hours to double.
Put in greased and floured pan about 1 hour to rise again.
Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
