Savory Cheese Apple And Walnut Bread

Ingredients
  Sifted self rising flour/2 cups all-purpose flour sifted with 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Cooking apple 1 , peeled, cored and finely chopped
  Grated cheddar cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Strong)
  Finely chopped walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Sift the flour, salt and pepper into a bowl and rub in the butter or margarine until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add the prepared apple, cheese and walnuts.
Beat the egg and milk together and stir into the flour mixture to give a stiff batter.
Spoon the batter into a greased small 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch loaf pan or cake pan.
Bake the savory bread above the center of a moder-iately hot'oven (375°F)for 40-50 minutes until well risen and qolden brown.
