  Flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Active dry yeast 1 Tablespoon
  Potato water/Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 4 Tablespoon (unsalted)
  Egg 1
  Potatoes 2 Tablespoon, mashed
  Golden raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

1 Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
2 Combine potato water or water and butter in a saucepan. Heat to hot (120°-130°F).
3 Combine potato water mixture with dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Add egg, potatoes, raisins, and enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
4 Knead until smooth€”about 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to coat top.
5 Cover; let rise in warm place until double€”about 1 hour.
6 Punch down dough. On lightly floured surface divide dough into 2 equal pieces. Form each piece into slender loaf about 9 inches long.
7 Place 2 loaves side by side in greased 5 x 9-inch pan. Cover; let rise in warm place until double€”about 1 hour.
8 Bake in a preheated 350°F oven 30€”40 minutes or until done. Cool on wire rack.
