Croutons

I love scooping out the Croutons from soup and letting them melt in my mouth. The yummy Croutons sometimes make the soups tastier than expected. The secret lies in getting your Croutons right, so here is the recipe for you and me!
Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Oil 1 Tablespoon
  Sliced loaf 4 , crusts removed
Directions

1 Place the butter and oil in a 1.75 litre/3 pint (7 1/2 cup) oval or round casserole and microwave on full power for
1 1/2 minutes.
2 Cut bread into small cubes and toss into hot butter and oil. Stir to coat.
3 Microwave on full power for 2 minutes, then stir.
4 Microwave on full power for 2 minutes and stir again.
5 Allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving. Drain on kitchen paper.
