Cheese & Nut Stuffed Bread Slices
|Italian bread loaf/French bread loaf||1|
|Cream cheese||11 Ounce, softened (1 Package, 8 Ounce Plus 1 Package, 3 Ounce)|
|Butter/Margarine||4 Tablespoon, softened|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vegetable soup mix||1 Ounce (1 Envelope Recipe)|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Trim ends of bread, then cut bread crosswise into 4 pieces.
Hollow out center of each piece, leaving 1/2-inch shell; reserve shells (save bread for fresh bread crumbs).
With food processor or electric mixer, combine cream cheese with butter until smooth.
Add Cheddar cheese, vegetable recipe soup mix and walnuts; process until blended.
Pack into reserved shells.
Wrap in plastic wrap or wax paper, then chill at least 4 hours.
