Spicy Brown Bread
Spicy Brown Bread is quite different from the other brown breads. This Spicy Brown Bread is simply great. You have to bake it to find out why!
|Blue cornmeal||180 Milliliter (3/4 Cup)|
|Whole wheat pastry flour||180 Milliliter (3/4 Cup)|
|Non alum baking powder||2 Teaspoon (10 Milliliter)|
|Sea salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon (1 Milliliter)|
|Carob powder||2 Teaspoon (10 Milliliter)|
|Cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon (3 Milliliter)|
|Ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon (3 Milliliter)|
|Nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon (3 Milliliter)|
|Milk/Soy milk||180 Milliliter (3/4 Cup)|
|Unsulphured molasses||120 Milliliter (5 Milliliter)|
|Lemon extract||1 Teaspoon|
Combine dry and liquid ingredients in separate bowls, then stir together until smooth.
Batter seems thin but it will thicken.
Pour batter into oiled pan.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes or until knife test proves done.
