Toasted Bread With Chicken-Liver Paste

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), finely chopped
  Onion 1 Small, finely chopped
  Chicken livers 10 , finely chopped
  Salt To Taste
  Sage leaves 4 , chopped or crumbled (Fresh Or Dried)
  Capers 2 Tablespoon, chopped
  Flat anchovy fillets 3 , chopped
  Thick italian bread slices 10
  Freshly ground pepper To Taste
Directions

Melt butter in a small saucepan.
When butter foams, add garlic and onion.
Saute over medium heat until golden.
Add chicken livers.
Saute over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
Add salt and pepper, sage, capers and anchovies.
Mix well; set aside.
Toast bread until golden on both sides.
Spread liver paste over 1 side of toasted bread, mashing it slightly as it is spread.
Place on a platter.
