Ingredients
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Wheat cereal flakes 1 Cup (16 tbs), crushed
  Wheat germ 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Apple 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), firmly packed
  Buttermilk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Mix and sift dry ingredients and spices.
Stir in cereal flakes, wheat germ, walnuts, and apple.
Mix together egg, brown sugar, buttermilk, and oil; add to dry mixture.
Mix to moisten all dry ingredients very well.
Do not beat.
Turn into well greased or sprayed glass loaf pan (9"x5"x3").
Cover with plastic wrap.
Cook in Radarange oven 9 minutes, turning pan every 3 minutes a quarter turn.
Let stand 10 minutes in pan.
Turn out and cool on rack.
