Tomato Date Sandwich Spread

Ingredients
  Tomatoes 6 Medium, chopped
  Dates 2 Cup (32 tbs), deseeded
  Red chili powder 1 Teaspoon (To Taste)
  Oil 1 Teaspoon
  Rock salt To Taste
Directions

Grind the tomatoes and the dates together in the blenderiser.
Heat the oil in a thick bottomed pan and pour the mixture into it.
The oil is only to prevent the mixture from burning.
Add the salt and the chillie powder and cook till it thickens to a jam like consistency.
Stir occasionally to make sure that it does not burn.
Leave to cool and store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
