Orange Oatmeal Bread
|Orange||1 , peeled and cut in small pieces|
|Sifted flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Old-fashioned rolled oats||1 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Grated orange peel||2 Tablespoon|
|Melted butter||2 Tablespoon|
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar over the orange pieces; set aside.
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, soda and sugar; stir in rolled oats.
Combine melted butter, eggs, water, grated orange rind and orange pieces - juice too.
Add dry ingredients and stir just until blended.
Pour into a greased 9x5x3 pan.
Bake 1 hour at 350°.
