Brethren Cheese Bread
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Grated cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Grated onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Dried dill weed||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Sift dry ingredients, chop in butter until mixture is coarsely crumbed.
Stir in cheese, onion and dill, mix well.
Combine milk and beaten egg, add flour all at once and stir quickly with fork just to moisten.
Turn into prepared loaf pan (9x5x3).
Bake 40-50 minutes at 350°.
