Deviled Snack Bread
|Canned spam spread||9 Ounce|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Active dry yeast/1 cake red star compressed yeast||1 Tablespoon (Red Star)|
|Warm water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dairy sour cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), heated to lukewarm|
|Cooking oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Regular flour||3 Cup (48 tbs) (Pillsbury Best)|
Combine SPAM, cheese, onion, pepper, catsup and mustard; set aside.
Soften yeast in warm water in mixing bowl.
Add sour cream, sugar, salt, soda, oil and egg; mix well.
Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition.
Roll or press dough into bottom of a greased 15xl0xl-inch jelly-roll pan or on a cookie sheet.
Spread meat mixture to within 1/2 inch of edges.
Let rise in warm place (85° to 90 °F.) for 30 minutes.
Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes until bread is golden brown.
