Glazed Pork Bran Balls
|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Raisin bran cereal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Dried thyme||1⁄8 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Ground pork||1⁄2 Pound|
|Ground fully cooked ham||1⁄2 Pound|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
In bowl combine egg and milk.
Stir in bran cereal, onion, thyme, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
Add ground pork and ground ham; mix well.
Shape into 2-inch meatballs.
Place in 11x7x11/2-inch baking pan.
Bake in 350Â° oven for 30 minutes.
Spoon off fat.
Meanwhile, in small saucepan combine brown sugar, corn syrup, vinegar, and dry mustard; bring to boiling.
Pour over meatballs.
Bake about 20 minutes more, basting occasionally with brown sugar mixture.
