Mother's All Bran Rolls
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|All bran||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , well beaten|
|Yeast||2 Tablespoon, dissolved (2 Packages)|
|Lukewarm water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
Mix shortening, boiling water, sugar, bran and salt.
Add eggs and yeast, dissolved in 1 cup lukewarm water.
Add flour and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
This is a heavy dough and when doubling the recipe, add an extra package of yeast.
Shape into rolls and let rise 2 hours in warm place away from drafts.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen.
