Kellogg's Quick All Bran Muffins With Variations
|Bran||1 Cup (16 tbs), bran|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. Mix All-Brans and milk in a bowl and let it stand until most of moisture is absorbed. Add egg and shortening; beat well.
2. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add to All-Bran mixture, stirring only until combined. Fill greased muffin-pan cups 2/3 full.
3. Bake in moderately hot oven (400° F.) about 20-25 minutes or until muffins are lightly browned. Serve immediately.
