Raisin Bran Bread

Ingredients
  Corn syrup 2 1⁄2 Tablespoon (Golden Or Light)
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Whole-wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Bran 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Raisins 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Directions

Grease and line a deep 9-inch square cake pan.
Place the syrup and the butter in a saucepan and heat slowly together until liquid.
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda into a large mixing bowl.
Mix in the bran then stir in the beaten egg, the sugar, milk, raisins and finally the melted syrup and butter mixture.
Mix thoroughly then pour into the prepared pan.
Bake in the center of a moderate oven (350°F) for about 1 hour.
