Bourbon Hot Toddy
|Hot water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Powdered cloves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Bourbon||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
In a saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups hot water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 teaspoon powdered cloves.
Bring to a boil, stirring only to dissolve sugar.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups bourbon.
Toddies may be served cold.
Dissolve 1/2 cup sugar in 1/2 cup hot water.
Add 1 cup cold water, lemon juice and cloves.
Proceed as directed but do not boil.
Add ice cubes and a garnish of mint if desired.
