Chinese Style Bourbon Chicken

Ingredients
  Chicken pieces 15
  Oil 3 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Bourbon 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Mirin 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Honey 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Ginger 1
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
Directions

In a deep pan, add the bourbon and mirin. Heat to reduce and condense.
In another shallow pan, heat the oil. Coat the chicken pieces in the cornstarch, fry well in the oil for a few minutes.
When the pan mixture has reduced, stir in the honey. Turn off the heat. Add a piece of ginger and soy sauce, mix well.
Pour the sauce gently over the chicken. Simmer further for a few minutes. Dissolve the cornstarch in water and pour into the pan.
Stir well and simmer until thickened.
Serve over cooked rice.
