Bonavista Bay Cods' Tongues

Ingredients
  Cod tongues 24
  Milk/1/2 cup all purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Fat 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Frying)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Rinse tongues and scrape lightly to clean.
If tongues are salted, soak them in cold water 10 minutes.
Mix flour and salt.
Dip tongues in milk and roll in flour.
Fry in hot fat 3 to 5 minutes.
