New Orleans Style Tongue
|Beef tongue||2 Pound|
|Onion||1 Small, sliced|
|White raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||1⁄2 Clove (2.5 gm)|
|Ketchup||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
1) Lightly season the beef tongue with salt. Place seasoned tongue in a roasting pan in an oven at 325 degrees and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until skin can be removed.
2) Remove skin, return to roasting pan, add remaining ingredients, and cook until tender.
