Ingredients
  Ripe blackberries 1 Pound (450 Gram)
  Sugar 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Water 2 Liter (8 Cups)
  Lemon 1 , juiced
  Lemon rind strips 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Boil all ingredients except sherry together for 20 minutes.
Strain and chill thoroughly.
Serve with 1 tsp (5 mL) sherry per glass, if desired, and ice cubes.
