Mini Cheese Biscuits
|All purpose flour||500 Milliliter (2 cups)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Granulated sugar||15 Milliliter (1 tablespoon)|
|Shortening||125 Milliliter (1/2 cup)|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||175 Milliliter (3/4 cup)|
|Egg||1 , well beaten|
|Milk||175 Milliliter (2/3 cup)|
In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Stir in cheese.
Beat together egg and milk; stir into flour mixture just until combined.
Turn out dough onto floured surface and knead gently about 20 times.
Roll out to 1/2 inch (1 cm) thickness.
Cut with floured 2 inch (5 cm) cutter.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in 450Â°F (230Â°C) oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden.
