Meat 'N' Biscuit Squares
|Ground meat||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Grated american cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Tabasco sauce||14 Teaspoon|
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg yolk||1 , beaten|
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Cook meat and onion slowly, but do not, brpwn.
Stir to break meat.
Mix with cheese, 1 egg, Tabasco sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and parsley.
Mix in bowl, flour, baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt.
Cut in shortening; stir in 1 egg and milk.
Knead 15 times on floured board or table.
Divide in one-half and pat into 9-inch square pan.
Spread with meat mixture and cover with other one-half of dough, rolled to: fit.
Brush with egg yolk.
Bake 30 minutes.
Serve hot with tomato sauce.
