Country Ham In Heart Biscuits
|All purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Baking soda||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||3 Tablespoon, melted|
|Ham||1 1⁄2 Pound, sliced|
|Mustard spread||1 Tablespoon|
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add buttermilk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness, cut with a 2-inch heart-shaped cutter.
Place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet, bake at 450Â° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
Brush with melted butter.
Serve with country ham and Mustard Spread.
