|Crushed wheat bran cereal flakes||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt in a medium bowl; cur in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Combine crushed wheat bran flakes cereal and buttermilk in a small bowl, and let stand for 2 minutes.
Add cereal mixture to reserved flour mixture, stirring until all dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough our onto a lightly floured surface, and knead 3 to 4 times.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into rounds with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheer.
Bake at 425Â° for 12 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
