1) In a large bowl, sift the flour and bicarbonate of soda ; stir in the sugar, rolled oats and mixed spice, blend well.
2) In a small pan, add the butter or margarine, honey and milk, melt on a gentle heat, stir in the dry ingredients.
3)On well greased baking sheets drop tsps of the mixture, slightly flatten the mounds with spoon.
4) Bake in a preheated oven and bake for 25-30 min, cool on a wire rack.
5) Store in an airtight jar and serve when desired.
