|Bran||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||5 Teaspoon (Royal)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Melted shortening||2 Tablespoon|
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Mix flour, bran, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add milk and mix to a soft dough. Rub in shortening. Transfer to a floured board and roll into ¼ inch thick. Using a biscuit cutter, shape into a biscuit.
3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
4. Serve as required.
