Easy Baking Powder Biscuits
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk and stir with fork until soft dough is formed.
Turn out on lightly floured board and knead 20 turns.
Pat or roll lightly to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut with floured 2-inch cutter.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in preheated very hot oven (450°F.) for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes about 14 biscuits.
