Sausage Cheese Biscuit Sandwiches
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sausage patties||8 Ounce (1/2 Package Brown And Serve Type)|
|Process american cheese slice||4|
Add shortening to flour, baking powder and salt with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves side of bowl and rounds up into a ball.
Turn dough onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Pat dough into 6-inch square with floured hands.
Cut into 3-inch squares, cutting completely through dough.
Brush with margarine or butter, melted.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
Immediately remove from cookie sheet; cool 5 minutes.
Gently pull biscuits apart.
Meanwhile, cook sausage patties as directed on package.
Split biscuits; layer one sausage patty and one cheese slice between each biscuit half.
