Brown Honey Biscuits
|Whole wheat flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Mix the whole wheat flour, flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Cut in the shortening until mixture is consistency of cornmeal.
Add the honey and enough water to make a soft dough and mix well.
Roll out on a floured board to 1/2 to 3/8-inch thickness.
Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or until brown.
