Cottage Cheese Biscuits
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Cottage cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg yolk||1 , beaten|
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together into a bowl.
Cut in the shortening until consistency of meal.
Stir in the milk, eggs and cottage cheese.
Turn out on a floured board and knead lightly.
Roll to desired thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
Brush with egg yolk and place on a cookie sheet.
Bake in 425-degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
