Basic Cardamom Biscuits
|Whole wheat flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Black cardamoms||10 Large|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sodium bicarbonate||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (For Kneading)|
Sieve flour, baking powder and soda bicarb together in a large mixing bowl.
Beat butter, cream and sugar till creamy.
Remove the skin of cardamoms and crush the seeds slightly.
Mix butter mixture, flour and cardamom together.
Knead to a hard dough with milk.
Keep in the fridge for 1/2 hour.
Knead again and roll out the dough 1/2 cm thick.
Cut into rectangular shape biscuits.
Make lines with fork on the biscuits.
Put in a greased baking dish.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the tray and cool completly.
