Golden Buttermilk Biscuits
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Sift dry ingredients together twice and place in a mixing bowl.
Cut in the shortening until well mixed.
Add the buttermilk and stir well.
Drop by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet and place a pat of butter on each biscuit.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
