Maple Biscuit Dessert
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Maple syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk; stir just until moistened.
Turn onto a lightly floured surface; roll to 1/2-in.thickness.
Cut with a 2-in.biscuit cutter.
Pour syrup into an 11-in.x 7-in.x 2-in.baking dish.
Place biscuits on top of syrup.
Bake at 450° for 12-15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
