Whole Wheat Biscuit Crackers
|Whole wheat flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
In bowl combine dry ingredients; cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir with fork just till dough follows fork around bowl.
On floured surface roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.
Using floured 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter, cut dough into 12 circles.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in a 350°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes or till lightly browned.
Reduce oven temperature to 300°F.
Split hot biscuits with sharp knife; place cut sides up on baking sheet.
Dry in a 300°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
