Baking Powder Biscuits

Ingredients
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Yeast 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Liquid shortening 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 6 Teaspoon
  Vegetable cooking 1
Directions

Combine all ingredients, except vegetable cooking spray; mix just until blended.
Turn out on floured board.
Roll out to a 1 1/2 in. (1 cm) thickness.
Cut into circles with floured 2 in. (5 cm) cutter.
Place on baking sheet coated with vegetable cooking spray; cover.
Allow to rest for 10 minutes.
Bake at 450°F (230°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
