European Pickled Beets
|Canned beets||1 Pound, sliced (1 can)|
|Mixed pickling spices||1 Tablespoon|
|Cider vinegar||1 Tablespoon|
1. Spoon off the liquid from beets into a small saucepan, stir in vinegar and pickling spices. Boil the mixture and simmer for about 5 minutes.
2. Spoon the beets into small bowl and pour the strained beet liquid over it.
3. Chill the beet for several hours before using it.
4. Serve pickled beets with meat dishes.
