Quick Harvard Beets

|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned sliced beets/Canned diced beets||4 Ounce (1 medium can)|
Mix sugar, vinegar and cornstarch in saucepan.
Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat for 5 minutes or until thickened.
Add beets; let stand for 30 minutes.
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat; add butter.
