Easy Harvard Beets

Ingredients
  Canned sliced beets 16 Ounce (Undrained, 1 Can)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 4 Teaspoon (1 Tablespoon Plus 1 Teaspoon)
  Salt 3⁄4 Tablespoon
  Vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Drain liquid from beets into a measuring cup.
Add enough water to make 2/3 cup.
Set aside.
In a deep 1 1/2-quart casserole, mix cornstarch, sugar and salt.
Gradually add beet liquid and vinegar; stirring smooth.
Microwave, covered, 1 1/2 minutes.
Stir.
microwave 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds.
Add beets; heat, uncovered, 3 minutes.
