Piquante Beets

  Minced onion 3 Tablespoon
  Butter margarine/Margarine / fat / salad oil 6 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Granulated sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Powdered cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 3 Tablespoon
  Chopped cooked beets 4 Cup (64 tbs) (Hot Cut Up Cooked Beets)

Saute the onion in the butter in a saucepan until tender.
Add the salt, sugar, cloves, and vinegar, and cook 5 min.
Add the beets which have been slivered, diced, sliced, or quartered as preferred.
Stir and heat Well.
